New UI Custom Media Placards - How to make the images

Modified on: Thu, 26 Jun 2025 09:16

As part of setting up the new user interface for the Knowledge and Library Hub, we have created some icons for custom media placards that you may want to use.

There is a full list of which icons are already available, with more info about what custom media placards are at https://knowledgehub.freshservice.com/support/solutions/articles/27000119949-How-do-I-manage-Custom-Media-Placards-in-the-new-Hub-interface-

If the icon you require isn't listed here, or if the current icons are not suitable for your needs, you can create your own.

One way to create them is to use Canva - either the free version (or potentially using a free trial of the Pro version if it's available to you).

If you want to have the placard with 4 icons, you'll need the icon size to be at least 220px wide, and 125px tall, or a 16:9 aspect ratio (the standard size for a PowerPoint Presentation slide).

If you want to have 5 icons, you'll need the icon size to be at least 166px wide, and/or 213px tall.

The preferred icon file format is an SVG file, which is available via Canva Pro. However, we can also upload JPG or PNG files.

The instructions/guidance below are for anyone using Canva to create an icon:

To set up your custom size, from the homepage of Canva, select the option "Custom size"

Input your desired size in the boxes provided

Once you've created your size, make your design as you would like.

To save your design, go to the "Share" button in the top right hand corner, and selected the "Download" option

If you have Canva Pro, you'll then be able to select the file type as SVG. However, if you have the free Canva account, we would recommend selecting the PNG option.

Select the file type you want, and press "Download"

Once you've downloaded this, you can add this onto the service request form being submitted.
