LibKey Nomad - DTAC documentation
Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC) gives staff, patients and citizens confidence that the digital health tools they use meet our clinical safety, data protection, technical security, interoperability and usability and accessibility standards. Many local IT teams require a completed DTAC before they will agree to implement LibKey Nomad.
The attached pre-populated form and associated documents are designed to help you evidence that Nomad is acceptable technology for the NHS. Over forty Trusts have already implemented Nomad showing that it is widely accepted. Take a look at this case study from Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. There have been no adverse effects and use of licenced and open access literature has increased in those organisations, contributing to patient care and the cost effectiveness of services.
In addition to the DTAC form, your Trust may ask you to complete a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA). An example of one of these with organisational information removed can help you answer any questions in your local version.
